Violet Verlyn Wiederhoft, age 83 of Truman, passed away on February 12, 2018. A Memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Zaharia Family Funeral & Cremation, 102 E Ciro Street, Truman. Visitation one hour prior. Inurnment will be at a later date at Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont. Zaharia Family Funeral & Cremation is entrusted with arrangements. Violet was born on April 16, 1934 to August and Elsa (Breitenfeld) Wiederhoft in Truman, Mn. She grew up on a farm just outside Truman with her family, living there most of her life with her mother and brother Eldon. In her working years, she worked at Stokleys and Tony Downs. After her mother's passing, she moved to an acreage where she enjoyed gardening and tending to plants and flowers. She always had special chickens and dogs. She stayed there until her health deemed it necessary to move to the Manor at Truman Senior Living 4 years ago. There, she filled her time doing jigsaw puzzles. She as well as her family enjoyed the staff at the Manor, they always brought a smile to her face. Violet is survived by her sister-in-law, Elaine Wiederhoft; brother-in-law, Art Loeschen; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all who loved her very much. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alvin, Delbert, Arvin and Eldon; sisters, Irene Peets and Linda Loeschen.
