Vicki Lynn Russell

Vicki Lynn Russell, age 65, of Truman, passed away on November 17, 2021 at her home. There will be a family gathering at a later date. Zaharia Family Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. www.ZahariaFamilyFuneral.com Vicki Lynn Drayfahl was born on July 4, 1956 to Larry Annus and Delora Helen (Whitley) Drayfahl in Avondale, Arizona. Vicki was a loving person who went through many hardships in life but always strove to do the best for her sons and those close to her. She traveled the world with her family during her father's naval career and then followed in his footsteps. Her career was cut short by unexpected medical complications. After a brief stint living on the East Coast, she moved back to Minnesota. While there, she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. Before she was able to pursue her chosen field she answered another call, family. After her father passed away she moved to Truman where she became the fulltime caretaker of her mother while still raising her two young sons. During her remaining years she worked to provide the best home she could for her family. In the end she passed away as she would have wanted, at her home and at peace. Vicki will be remembered as a daughter, a sister, a veteran, and most importantly a loving mother. She leaves behind two sons, Lucas and Clayton; three grandchildren and six siblings. She is preceded in death by her parents and many other relatives and friends.
