Verona "Patchie" Wilde, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Heartland Senior Living in Truman.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 11am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Willow Creek. Visitation will be held at church on Monday from 9:30am-11am. Burial will take place at St. John's Lutheran Willow Creek South Cemetery.
Verona Urban was born April 1, 1924 in rural Vernon Center to Gustav "Gus" and Helen (Ulrich) Urban. She was one of eight children. She was baptized on April 27, 1924, confirmed on April 20, 1938, and she married Lorvin Wilde on November 28, 1942 all at St. John's Lutheran Church in Willow Creek. She was a member of the Dorcas Circle where she held every office except secretary. Patchie was a "farm wife" and was very proud of her vegetable gardens she had every year. She gladly shared their bounty with others.
She is survived by her sister, Gladys Belgard, of Truman, 21 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorvin, parents, Gus and Helen, brothers, Melvin (Marjorie), Hartwin (Kathryn), and Bernard (Wilma), sisters, Leona (Howard) Chamberlain, Luella (Harold) Doering, Elvera (Elvin) Wegner, and brother-in-law, Harvey Belgard.
Memorials can be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church in Willow Creek or the charity of your choice.
