Norman Wiederhoeft, age 93 of Truman, passed away Saturday March 21, 2026 at Mayo Hospital in Fairmont. Funeral services will be Saturday March 28, 2026 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Truman with visitation starting at 9:30AM and funeral at 11AM. Burial will be at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Truman. Norman Carl was born August 26, 1932 in Antrim Township to Albert and Emma (Becker). He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church – South Branch, he also attended school there through the 8th grade and then went to Truman High School for 2 years and then had to take over the family farm when his dad passed away.
On April 3, 1956 he married Berneil Niemeier at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Just shy of a 70-year marriage! They began married life on the family farm outside of Lewisville, where their first daughter Candace was born and later their son Michael. They then moved their new family to the Minneapolis area, where Norm worked in machine shops and then to the Elk River area where their daughter Cynthia was born. In 1974, Norm and Berneil moved back to Lewisville where he was employed by TFE and WFS. In August of 1997 he retired and moved to Truman where he enjoyed mowing lawns, yardwork and playing cards, he also went back to work for WFS.
Norm was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville, where he held various jobs until the church closing. He was a current member at St. Paul Lutheran in Truman.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Berneil of Truman, his children; Candace (Brian) Anderson of Owatonna, Michael (Janice) Wiederhoeft of Truman and Cynthia (Troy) Schull of North Mankato, grandchildren; Arden Anderson, Alyssa (Carl) Betlach, Natasha (Jake) Knott, Nathaniel (Sara) DePoppe, Madison (Dillon) Theusch, Tyler (Cortnee) DePoppe, Cullen Schull (Rachael Bucholtz) and Hayden Schull, great-grandchildren; Lincoln, Miles, Jade, Lily, Nora, Archer, Emma, Emmy, Hattie, Banks and Hollis, sister-in-law Lorraine Niemeier as well as many other extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Cordelia (Floyd) Eickhoff, Luella (Orville) Leverson, nieces Julie Niemeier, Joy Niemeier, Darlene Culbertson and Shirley Eickhoff and nephew Robert Eickhoff.
