Luella Bertha Boesch

Luella Bertha Boesch, 96, of Truman, passed away at the Heartland-Truman Senior Living on January 4, 2018.  Funeral Service will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Truman, on Saturday January 6, 2018 at 10 am.  Visitation will be 8:30-10am at the church.  Interment will follow in St Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.  Zaharia Family Funeral & Cremation is entrusted with arrangements.  www.ZahariaFamilyFuneral.com Luella Bertha Vogt was born on November 1, 1921, in Watonwan County to Frank and Helene (Buchholz) Vogt.  She was baptized November 20, 1921 and confirmed on April 14, 1935 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman.  She graduated from St. Paul’s Lutheran parochial and Truman High School.  She married Bob Boesch on September 9, 1945 at St. Paul’s Lutheran in Truman.  She and Bob lived in Pleasant Mound Township until moving to Amboy in 1978, they then moved to The Manor in 2007. Bob passed away February 28, 2009.  She moved to Truman Senior Living in July of 2016.  Luella was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and a member of the Naomi Circle. Also an active member of the County Corners extension group.   She took pride in caring for her house and family.  She loved quilting, putting jigsaw puzzles together, Flower gardening, Playing cards and the many years of dancing with Bob.  Luella is survived by sons, Harland (Marsha) Boesch and Lowell (Joyce) Boesch, both of Truman; grandchildren, Rachel (Steve) Malecka of St. Peter, Todd (Thea) Boesch of Truman, Brittany (Daniel) Grunig of Amboy and Logan Boesch of San Diego, CA.; Great-grandchildren, Zachary Zernechel, Taylor and Trista Boesch, Kellen, Keegan and Korbin Grunig; many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, sisters Leora Becker, Loretta Mohwinkel and nephew Roger Becker.
