Jerry Myers, 78, of Fairmont, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato.
His family is planning a private gathering.

Jerry Wayne Myers, was born on April 9, 1943 in Spencer Iowa to Burner Charles and Ivy Olive (McCannon) Myers. He was their first child. He graduated from Cornell High School and went on to be a truck driver. He was a successful driver, logging many miles with great scenery. He married Linda Gosen and he was a loving father to his children. Jerry had an enthusiasm for the game show network, motorcycles, car racing and antique cars.
For a man that traveled for his career, he really loved coming home as his family was there. Jerry was a man of few words, but the words he spoke, will leave a lasting impact. He was a simple man, not asking much. He didn't like peanut butter. He loved grilled cheese sandwiches. He loved his family, even his grand-dogs.
Jerry is survived by his children, Jerry (Janelle) Myers Jr. of Windom, Kim (Dusty) Rose of Fairmont, Robin Groskreutz of Truman and Amber (Joe) Koenigs of McIntire, IA; grandchildren, Sam (Alden Pohl) Groskreutz, Breanna Groskreutz, Cameron Groskreutz, Alexis Koenigs, Lilly Koenigs and Alan Koenigs; two great grandsons, Benjamin and Lucas Pohl; brothers, Lloyd Myers of Sleepy Eye and Larry (Kris) Myers of Greenville, IA; sister, Valerie (Ken) Weza of Eureka CA; many other relatives and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; and wife Linda Myers (2010).
