Beverly Ann Gulbranson

December 27, 1932 — September 17, 2021

Beverly Gulbranson, age 88 of Truman, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Heartland Senior Living in Truman.  A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, September 27, 2021  at Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman with Penny Ritter officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.                Beverly Ann Benson was born at home on December 27, 1932 in Worthington, MN to her parents, John Harold and Esther Louise (Knuth) Benson. She grew up in Worthington and graduated from High School in 1950, before going on to college at Mankato State. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Worthington, where she was baptized, confirmed and she married the love of her life, Dean Gulbranson on October 27, 1952. 
               Beverly and Dean moved to Washington D.C. while Dean served in the Air Force Band.  Later they moved to Sioux City, IA; Mankato, MN; Little Rock, Rolf and Humboldt IA; back to Minnesota to Huntley and finally settling in Truman.  They raised a family of four children.  Bev worked at JC Penney and retired after 33 years of service.  She taught Sunday school at Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman, served on many committees including sewing many quilts for those in need. Bev enjoyed sewing, it was a hobby that she excelled in, she also liked to play bridge, golf and visit friends over coffee. 
                 Beverly is survived by her husband of nearly 69 years, Dean Gulbranson; children, Deborah Voltin, Steve (Jan) Gulbranson, Kathryn (Gary) Kleist and Michael Gulbranson; sister, Joyce (Jay) Ohlsen; 6 grandchildren;  7 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Ilona Benson, Shirlee Benson and Dorothea Kinsman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Bev is preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Larry Voltin; sister, Mary Tripp and brothers, Jay Benson, Clarence Benson and Glenn Benson.
