Marlin "Ike" Bursell

Funeral services for Marlin “Ike” Bursell, 87, Truman, MN will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:30 am at Zaharia Family Funeral & Cremation Service of Truman. Interment will be held at Westford Cemetery, rural Truman. Ike died at his home in Truman on August 14, 2016.. Visitation will be held at Zaharia Family Funeral & Cremation Service of Truman on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 9-10:30 am. Marlin Edwin Bursell was born on February 24, 1929 to Donald and Mabel (Kleinbeck) Bursell in Fairmont, MN. He attended country schools and graduated from Truman High School. After school, Ike was a general laborer. In 1960 he began farming east of Truman. He also worked for the Bosshart Construction and retired from the City of Truman street department in 1994. Ike then went to work in Fairmont for Bosshart Construction. Ike was a life member of Chain of Lakes Masonic Lodge and a member of Community Baptist Church. He loved gardening and driving his payloaders. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ike is survived by his wife, Norma of Truman; one son, John Bursell of Truman; six grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; one brother, Jack Bursell of Fairmont and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three children, Marcia Weichert, Jim Bursell and Carl Mason; brother, Harold Bursell. www.zahariafamilyfuneral.com
