Funeral services for Everett E. Ruch, 73, Fairmont, MN will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Bethel Evangelical Free Church, Fairmont, MN. Interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery with full military honors by Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post 36 and Martin County VFW Post 1222. Visitation will be held at the Church from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Saturday. Everett died on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Mayo Health Systems-Fairmont. Arrangements are being handled by Zaharia Family Funeral & Cremation Service of Truman. Everett Earl Ruch was born on January 27, 1942 in Madelia, MN to Earl and Loris (Jones) Ruch. Everett attended school in Lake Crystal and graduated in 1960. Everett enlisted in the US Marine Corp shortly after graduation. He worked as a pipe liner, for Fairmont Railway Motors and retired from Hodgman’s. Everett worked in retirement as a greeter at WalMart in Fairmont. On March 3, 1984 Everett was united in marriage to Linda Sweet. He was a member of the Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post 36, Martin County Conservation Club and was a member of Bethel Evangelical Church. Everett is survived by his wife, Linda Ruch, Fairmont, MN and Dan, Cole and Jessie, Blaine and Julie Sweet; brothers, Tim (Gwen) Ruch, Mankato, MN, Jon (Ann) Ruch, Garden City, MN, Dean Ruch, Lake Crystal; sisters, Kathleen Helder, Norcross, MN, Luayn (Lee) Ruch-Hammond, Green Isle, MN, Noreen (Don) Wolf, Mankato, MN; sister-in-law, Cora Ruch, Rohnert Park, CA; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Everett was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James, David, and two infant brothers; and his beloved dog Dutchess.
