Delora Helon Drayfahl 84 of Truman passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at her home in Truman. Mom had little control over her life in the last few years so in accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and burial at sea will take place at a later date. She married Dewey Thompson on July 8, 1945 in Lordsburg, NM together they had 3 children Patsy, Lenard, and Kathryn. On March 9, 1955 in Silver City, NM she married Larry A. Drayfahl together they had 4 children Vicki, Larry Jr., Perry, and Raymond. She is survived by her children, Patsy (Dyarl) Burns of Sunderland, OR, Lenard (Susan) Thompson of San Marcos, CA, Kathryn (Monte) Glaser of Aberdeen, WA, Vicki Russell of Truman, Perry (Mary) Drayfahl of Cherry Hill, NJ, Larry Drayfahl Jr of Blue Earth, Raymond (Kay) Drayfahl of Winnebago, sister, Julia Irene James of Joplin, MO, 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and 4 great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rube & Rilla Whitley, brothers, Kenneth, Perry, Maurice Whitley, and granddaughter Vicki Jr. Delora always put family first and even though a stroke left her disabled in her mid-50’s she loved keeping abreast of all the doings of her children and grandchildren. She and Larry Sr. enjoyed a special relationship and never ran out of things to talk about whether it was the family, the past, current events or the future.
