Lydia Anna Seeman

Funeral services for Lydia Seeman, 100, Truman, MN formerly of Lewisville, MN will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 10:30 am at Zion Lutheran Church, Lewisville with Rev. Brian Thorson officiating. Interment will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Lewisville. Lydia died on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Truman Senior Living. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 5-7:00 pm at Zaharia Family Funeral & Cremation Service of Truman and one hour before the services in the church. Lydia Anna Bergemann was born on October 1, 1914 on a farm in Blue Earth County to William and Dorothea (Ahrens) Bergemann. She attended school at St. John’s Lutheran School-Willow Creek, rural Vernon Center, MN. On September 8, 1937 Lydia was united in marriage to Lawrence Seeman at St. John’s Lutheran Church-Willow Creek. They farmed in Pleasant Mound Township until Lawrence died in 1966. In 1968 Lydia moved to Lewisville. In October of 2009 she entered Truman Assisted Living and in June of 2010 she moved to Truman Senior Living. Lydia was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Ladies Aid. Lydia was a member of Sewing Circle, several card clubs and volunteered for many church activities. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, gardening and especially time with her grandchildren. Lydia was a special lady and will be greatly missed. Lydia is survived by one daughter, Margie (Robert) Gaul, Mora, MN; one son, Jerry (Dorene) Seeman, Amboy, MN; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four sisters, Amanda (Albert) Conrad, Erna (Art) Kliest, Theresa (Otto) Conrad, Elnora Bergemann; five brothers, Ted (Ellner) Bergemann, Alvin (Lydia) Bergemann, Henry (Leona) Bergemann, Erich Bergemann, August (Anna) Bergemann. www.zahariafamilyfuneral.com
