Funeral services for Kathleen F. Schulz, 92, Truman, MN formerly of Amboy, MN will be held on Friday, April 3, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church-Willow Creek, rural Vernon Center, MN with Rev. John Bennett officiating. Interment will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery-South Willow Creek, rural Amboy. Kathleen died on Friday, March 28, 2015 at Truman Senior Living. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services in the church. Kathleen Faye Schulz was born on July 25, 1922 in Indianola, IA to Clark and Hazel (Goad) Snelson. She attended various grade schools before graduating from Amboy High School. On December 4, 1940 Kathleen was united in marriage to Walter Schulz at St. John’s Lutheran Church-Willow Creek. They farmed their entire lives in the Willow Creek area. Kathleen was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church-Willow Creek and Dorcas Society. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, spending time with the grandkids and her family, friends and neighbors. Kathleen is survived by two daughters, Lavonne (John) Wilness, Lake Crystal, MN, Lynnette Peterson, Hutchinson, MN; five grandchildren, Karla (Ray) Caldwell, David (LaLainya) Rennpferd, Nathan (Darla) Peterson, Nick (Anna) Peterson, Naomi (Chris) Opjorden; great grandchildren, Jordan (Melanie) Blakesley, Elijah (April) Blakesley, Afton Blakesely, Madelynn Rennpferd, Macy and Halley Rennpferd, Maddie Peterson, Olivia Peterson, Leo Peterson, Violet Peterson, Vivika Opjorden, Elsa Opjorden, Ila Opjorden, Torfinn Opjorden; three great, great grandchildren, Braydon Blakesley, Jayden Hagedorn and William Blakesley; one sister, Mary Foster, Rochester, MN; one brother-in-law, Robert Thorsen, Eagle Bend, MN and many nieces and nephews.
