Lorraine Clarice Vogt

Lorraine Clarice Vogt was born June 7, 1928 to Henry and Clara (Greier) Becker in Rutland Township, Martin Co., MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church in Northrop. She attended St. James Lutheran School in Northrop and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1946. Lorraine was married to Vernon Vogt on June 8, 1947 at St. James Lutheran Church, Northrop. Vernon passed away on January 14, 1997. The couple farmed in Westford Township and she worked at People’s State Bank in Truman for 20 years. Lorraine was a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School & vacation bible school for many years and was member of the LWML. Lorraine moved to Truman in 1978 and later moved to Maplewood Manor in Fairmont in 2009 and to Truman Senior Living in 2013. Lorraine is survived by her five children & spouses: Kirk (Kay) Vogt of Truman, Kent Vogt of Fairmont, Jennifer (James) Lewis of Hackensack, MN, Janee (Terry) Wagenman of Dunnell, MN & Nancy (Edwin) Wallace of Peekskill, New York, 11 grandchildren , 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon, sisters: Laura (Adolph) Rosen, Irene (Gordon) Sweiger, Norma (Arthur) Grefe and a brother, Ralph (Joann) Becker. She was also preceded in death by her mother & father-in-law, William & Emma (Wannemacher) Vogt and their nine children and spouse two nieces, Mary Vogt and Twyla Gefe.
