Ruth Margaret Andross was born on September 11, 1918 in Granada, MN to George and Mary (True) Andross. She was baptized in June of 1928. Ruth attended Granada Elementary and graduated from Granada High School on May 28, 1936. She attended Minnesota State Teachers College and graduated on June 8, 1938. Ruth taught at 3 rural schools in Martin County. On March 28, 1946 Ruth was united in marriage to Edward Hendricksen. They farmed in the Truman area. Ruth and Edward moved into Truman December 15, 2007. Edward died on January 30, 2008. Ruth was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of Ladies Aid. She belonged to Birthday Club and County Corners Group. Ruth loved to read, she enjoyed cooking and canning, traveling and loved time with family. Ruth died on Tuesday, January 20th, 2015 at Truman Senior Living.
Ruth is survived by two sisters-in-law, LuVerna Boler, Winnebago and Ruth I. Hendrickson, Truman; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
