Rodney Herman Evers was born on April 11, 1964 to Herman and Carol (Winter) Evers in the Mountain Lake, MN hospital. He was baptized and confirmed in the First Presbyterian Church of Mountain Lake. He grew up on a farm near Comfrey where he attended Comfrey Public School, graduating with the class of 1982. After graduation, he attended Jackson Technical School studying agriculture. After graduating from Jackson, he worked for various local farmers. He was currently employed at Chain of Lakes Dairy at East Chain. He married Jaylene Molitor on June 22, 1996. They lived in Truman, MN. He currently was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lakota, IA where he served on the Board of Trustees. Rod loved being with his family, being outdoors, tractor rides and farming. Rodney died on Monday, September 15, 2014 at his home in Truman.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Jaylene; parents, Herman and Carol Evers, Lakota, IA; children, John, Jeremy, Josh, D.J., Amy, Abby and Selena; grandchildren, Alicia, Patrick, Riley, Samantha, Jadyne, Giannah, Maxwell, Jace, Mason, soon-to-be Baby Owen Rodney; one brother, Paul (Emily) Evers and nieces Kayla and Allyssa of Luverne, MN.
