Suzanne Constance Shoemaker

Suzanne "Suzie? Constance Shoemaker was born on May 3, 1988 in Fairmont, MN to Mona Hoscheid and Ricky Shoemaker. Suzie died on August 25, 2014 at her home in Truman due to depression. Suzie could typically be found in jeans, a t-shirt or a hoodie with her curly hair in a ponytail or bandana. She was a 2006 graduate of Truman High School. After graduation she worked at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre and attended Rasmussen Business School in the twin cities where she lived with her cousin, Angela and Joe Terry and family. Moving to Florida in 2008, her next great adventure was her position at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL for almost 5 years. She happily worked in Outdoor Foods in the Animal Kingdom. Suzie returned to Truman in 2012 and took a position at Good Samaritan Society in St. James. Suzie has lots of friends who will miss her every day. Suzie enjoyed music and acting even though she would tell you she wasn't good at it. She had an extensive collection of DVD's, VCR tapes and CD's. Suzie loved to travel even if it was a road trip to Perch Lake to look at the stars or a trip to Illinois to play with her niece and nephew. Her room was filled with pictures of her nephew Connor and niece Bella who she adored. Ashley and Amy were both lifelong friends and classmates. Suzie was thrilled when she was able to go to Italy to say farewell to her school adopted sister, Sophia, our Italian foreign exchange student who attended Truman during the 2005-2006 school year. Having endured multiple surgeries oven the past 3 years, she was still quick with a smile and laugh for others and always eager to help if she could. Spending the last 7 months home with Grandma Hoscheid, recovering from another injury and surgery, she was working on her family tree and was surprised by how many people and places she found connections to. Missing her forever, she leaves behind her Mother, Mona L. Hoscheid, Truman, MN, Father, Ricky L. Shoemaker, Granada; brother, Patrick L. Hoscheid and wife Jaclyn and their children Connor and Bella, Shawneetown, IL; Grandparents, Mary Hoscheid, Truman, MN, Connie Lange, Fairmont, MN, Duane and Kathy Shoemaker, Mesa, AZ; great grandmother, Pearl Bahr, Fairmont, and a great extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Marvin L. Hoscheid; grandfather, Gene Lange; uncle, Mark Hoscheid; great grandfather, Lyle Bahr; cousins, Riley Dahlberg and Shane Terry; great grandparents and other family members and friends. Our prayer to all our family and friends?if you even think you or someone else you love needs help, make it happen, even if you take them to it kicking and screaming, cost be damned.
