Clarice Ann Cottew was born on October 15, 1921 to Claire and Flora (Robertson) Cottew in Rutland Township, Martin County, MN. She attended country school District 80 and graduated from Granada High School in 1939. On July 3, 1940 Clarice was united in marriage to LeRoy Kleinschrodt. They farmed for 39 years and lived on the same farm for 55 years. They moved to Truman in 1998. Clarice was a longtime member of the Truman Church of Christ, the Cloverleaf Club and Westford Happy Homemaker Club. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, dancing, fishing and traveling. Clarice and LeRoy spent many winters in Arizona and traveled to all 50 states. Clarice died on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at her home in Savage.
Clarice is survived by 2 granddaughters, Lori (Tim) Rathjen, Savage, MN and Kristi (Chris) Griffith, Savage, MN; 10 great grandchildren, James, Jason, Steven, Joshua, Brandon, Jessica, William, Bridgette, Benjamin, Andrea; two great, great grandchildren, Skye and Jase; one daughter-in-law, Della Murray; one remaining sibling, Donna (Harold) Bowers, St. James, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, LeRoy; her only child, Richard; five brothers, Darvin, Blayne, Lyle, Denzin, Irvin; one sister, Faye and grandson Michael.
