Marilyn Florence Mosel

April 25, 1925 — April 18, 2014

Marilyn Florence Zoellmer was born on April 25, 1925 in Pleasant Mound Township, Blue Earth County, rural Lewisville, MN to Henry and Clara (Rosen) Zoellmer. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church-Fieldon. She attended Trinity Lutheran Parochial School and graduated from Truman High School. On October 21, 1945, Marilyn was united in marriage to Paul Mosel at Trinity Lutheran Church-Fieldon. Marilyn and Paul farmed until 1970 near Lewisville. She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother. After her children were grown, they managed the café in Lewisville and worked at the Luther Memorial Home as Dietary Supervisor. Paul died on May 21, 2002. Marilyn moved to Gaylord in 2003. She was a member of the Lewisville Study Club, the Lewisville Kitchen Band and Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Aide. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, painting, sewing and crafts. She loved to cook for her family. Her church meant everything to her. Marilyn died on Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Glencoe Regional Health Center. Marilyn is survived by 2 daughters, Diane Mosel of Minneapolis, MN, Jane Mosel of Gaylord; four sons, David (Carey) of Lafayette, MN, Darrel (Diane) of Gaylord, MN, James (Laurie) of Minneapolis, Jeffery of Brooklyn Center, MN; 6 grandchildren; one brother, Waldon (Bonnie) Zoellmer; one sister-in-law, Lorna Zoellmer, Lewisville and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Dennis and John; one granddaughter, Jessica; three brothers, Jerry, Delbert and Armond. Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church-Fieldon and Peace Lutheran Church, Arlington, MN.
