Leroy Robert Greier

Leroy Robert Greier was born on August 17, 1927 to Fred and Lillian (Mausling) Greier at home on the farm near Northrop. He was baptized on August 28, 1927 and confirmed on April 6, 1941 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman. Leroy attended country school. On September 15, 1946 Leroy was united in marriage to Ruth Maloney at Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville. They farmed near Lewisvllie his entire life. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and served on the church cemetery board. Leroy was always willing to help someone in need. Family and farming meant the world to Leroy. Leroy died on Friday, November 22, 2013 at his home in Lewisville. Leroy is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth Greier of Lewisville; five daughters, Kathy Else of Mankato, Carol Greier (Larry Klimek) of Elk River, Mardell Timm (Randy) of Lewisville, Janelle Greier of Lewisville, Kiyla Schwarz (Dennis) of Vernon Center; two sons, Kevin Greier (Janae) of Truman, Keith Greier (Allison) of Lewisville; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one sister, Lucille Zarling of Fairmont. He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Kory and Matthew and one brother, Victor.
