Ruth Arlene Lehman was born on March 26, 1940 in Mountain Lake, MN to Reinhold and Antonia (Zimmer) Lehman. She attended school in Madelia graduating from Madelia High School in 1958. Ruth attended nursing school for two years in New Ulm, MN. She practiced as a nurse until 1977 when she was united in marriage to Luverne on October 8, 1977. Ruth was a licensed practical nurse at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Truman for 18 years. She retired from nursing in 2009. Ruth was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church-Antrim where she taught Sunday school and was active in Ladies Aid. She was a member of the Lewisville Auxiliary Legion. Ruth enjoyed her flowers, garden, coffee and especially taking care of her granddaughter, Johana. Ruth died on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Mayo Health Systems-Fairmont.
Ruth is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Wiederhoeft, Truman, Jill Eagleson and her husband David of Potomac, MD; one granddaughter, Johana; one sister, Ruby Keller and her husband Ewald of Gaylord, MN; two brothers, Ernest Lehman and his wife Gail of Madelia, Richard Lehman and his wife Sarah of Windom; two brothers-in-law, Harvey Wiederhoeft and his wife Carole of Truman, Lawrence Wiederhoeft and his wife Dorothy of Truman. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Luverne; one son, Jonathan; one brother, Robert Lehman.
