Sadie M. VanBrunt Wolfe

Sadie was born on Friday, Sept. 13, 1916. She was the only child of Floyd and Laura Barnett Wilkinson. She graduated from Truman High School. She lived most of her life in and around the Truman area, except for several years in the Estherville, IA, and Mankato, MN areas. She worked for Buttreys in Fairmont, and owned VanDar's Bridal and beauty shop in Mankato and Fairmont. Sadie volunteered at the hospital in Mankato and at Mesa General in AZ. She loved dancing, also competiton, loved cards, especially bridge. Sadie was married to Willard VanBrunt, who died in Oct. 1974, then married to Joseph Wolfe who died in 1983. Willard and Sadie had 2 children, Gwendolyn Roloff(who died in 2003,) and Darwin VanBrunt(who died in 2009.) Sadie died December 13, 2011 in Mesa, AZ. She is survived by son-in-law Gary Roloff, and daughter-in-law Grace VanBrunt, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren. Sister-in-law Mildred Wagner, many nieces and nephews. Preceeded in death by her husbands, both her children and one grandson.
