Ronald Maurice Gratz

Ronald Maurice Gratz was born April 18th, 1933, in Fairmont, MN, son of Reinhard H. Gratz and Ila G. (Erickson) Gratz. He was a graduate of Fairmont High School in 1951 and entered into the USAF after graduation, where he served in Korea. Ron was united in marriage to Beverly Gilliland in 1953. He worked for Northwest Airlines for 36 years and retired in 1994. After retirement from the Airline, he worked part-time for Thomas Allen. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Plato, MN. "Chiefy? loved the game of golf and spent many happy hours on the golf course with his good friend Merlin Conrad. Ronald passed away June 21st. He is survived by Bev Gratz, Lynn (Charley) Brownlee of Truman, MN, Lori (Bob) Seifert of Jordan, MN, Scott (Brenda) Gratz of New Prague, MN, Beth (Pete) Haller of Jordan, MN, Joel Gratz of Lakeville, MN, David (Jill) Gratz of Shakopee, MN, 17 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, James Dorothy of Shakopee, MN, special nieces, Kim (Dave) Wagner of Belle Plaine, MN, Tammy (Al) Johnson of Shakopee, MN. He was preceeded in death by parents and sister-in-law, Donna Dorothy. Dad and his sense of humor will be deeply missed at all of our family get-togethers.
