Tory Lee Weihe

Tory Lee Weihe was born on September 10, 1965 in Fairmont, MN to Henry and Joanne (Moeller) Weihe. Tory was baptized on September 19, 1965 at Zion Lutheran Church-Fraser Township, rural Northrop, MN. He was confirmed on April 27, 1980 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman. Tory attended St. Paul's Lutheran Parochial School in Truman and graduated from Truman High School in 1984. After graduation, Tory moved to the Twin Cities and went to work for AmeriCraft Corrugated Box Company. On November 2, 1991 Tory was united in marriage to Jill Diane Gunderson at St. John's Lutheran at Fairbank, IA. Tory and Jill lived in the Twin Cities until 2005 when they moved to Truman. Tory worked for A and E Construction until he was forced to go on disability in 2009. Tory's biggest passion in life was his work. Whether it was helping his father and brothers with farming, car repairs and general maintenance or volunteering his time to friends and family when they needed something fixed. He was a man of many talents and was always available when someone needed help. When not working, Tory enjoyed hunting, shooting trap, watching Nascar, golfing and spending time with his family and friends. Despite Tory's constant struggles over the past 2 years, he maintained his positive outlook, sense of humor and faith until the very end. Tory was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman. Tory died on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, after a two year struggle with multiple illnesses. Tory joined his mother in Heaven exactly one year after she passed away. Tory is survived by his wife, Jill Weihe, Truman, MN; one daughter, Cassandra Weihe (fiancé, Brent Coulon), Woodbury, MN; one son, Alex Weihe, Truman, MN; his father, Henry Weihe, Truman, MN; one sister, Julie Fischer (Jim), Wiota, IA; two brothers, Tony Weihe (Mona), Truman, MN, Tim Weihe (Karen), Truman, MN; mother-in-law, Jan Gunderson, Fairbank, IA; six sisters-in-law, Lisa Hoskings (Chris), AZ, Laura Kane (Ross), Westminster, CO, Leslie Frost (Fred), Fairbank, IA, Terri Grimes (Kraig), Sumner, IA, Amy Meyer (Jim), Fairbank, IA; one brother-in-law, Eric Gunderson (Brenna), Elk River, MN and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. Tory was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Weihe and his father-in-law, Ralph Gunderson.
