James LeRoy Cairns

James LeRoy Cairns was born on October 7, 1941 in Springfield, MN to Dr. Robert J. and Florence Cairns. Jim had a lifelong passion for Golden Gopher Football, both as a player and a fan. He was also an avid outdoorsman and golfer. Jim died on March 17, 2011. Jim is survived by his children, Meggin (Cairns) Kitterman, Patrick Cairns (Sara), Christopher Cairns (Abby Porisch, special friend); the mother of his children, Lois Zaske Cairns; grandchildren, Nicolas Segura, Gabriel Kitterman, Isabella Kitterman; siblings, Dr. R. Scott Cairns (Sandra), Barb Smith (Charles), Lynn J. Cairns (John D. Olsen). He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Norma A. (Cairns) Flinn.
