Ruth Irma Ione Radunz was born November 19, 1929 to William and Edna (Schroeder) Radunz at home in Granite Falls, MN. She was the 3rd of 9 children. Ione was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Granite Falls. She attended school in Granite Falls. Following school she moved to Sacred Heart, MN and worked for a dentist and was a telephone operator. She married Merald Imes on March 17, 1952 in Granite Falls. In 1961, Ione moved to Northrop. She managed the Green Door and Harold's Club. She bought Harold's Club from Harold "Peanuts? Gieske. She was known for her "all you can eat broasted chicken? Wednesday special. She married Marlin Nave of Granada on January 19, 1975. Ione was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church, Northrop. Ione was an active member of the church's ladies aid and was a member of Eve Circle. She enjoyed making quilts. She was a member of Schwieger-Kahler American Legion Post 522 Auxiliary and the Northrop Twigs Hospital Auxiliary and was an honorary member of the Northrop Fire Department. Ione loved going to garage sales, bowling and watching the MN Twins. She especially loved riding her bike around town and visiting with the young and old. She was a big fan of the Fairmont Raceway and sold tickets at the races for many years. She would fill her station wagon with kids from town and take them to the races. Ione died on Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Lutz Wing of the Fairmont Medical Center. Ione is survived by her husband of 35 years, Marlin of Northrop; two step daughters, Linda (Steve) Pierce of Granada, Deb (Bob) Patten of Winnebago; 5 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Ehrreich of Moundsview, MN; three brothers, Rueben Radunz of Sterling, IL, Dave (Lorae) Radunz of Northrop, William (Anne) Radunz of Princeton, MN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jean; three sisters, Donna Radunz, Helen Fearn, Irma Ehrreich; one brother, Elmer Radunz; brothers-in-law, Virgil Ehrreich, Richard Ehrreich, Bob Fearn, Gene Nave, Robert Nave, Darrel Nave and several nieces and nephews. A special thank-you to Pastor Steve, Pastor Trueblood and the staff of the Lutz Wing.
