Norman John Dorow was born on August 4, 1917 near Falkirk, North Dakota to John and Alvinia (Schweim) Dorow. The family moved to Springfield, MN where he grew up. On March 4, 1946 Norman was united in marriage to Anna Mae Willemssen at the Zion Lutheran Church, Springfield, MN. In 1968 they moved to Truman. Norman worked at the Truman Farmers Elevator, Brummond Livestock and the Fairmont Furniture Store. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman. Norman died on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Lutz Wing of Fairmont Medical Center.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 years, Anna Mae, Truman; son, Ervin and his wife Sharon, Fairmont; two grandsons, Jon and his wife Lisa, Sioux Falls, SD, and their children, Alex, Ian and Joe, Ryan and his wife Nicole, Fairmont, and their son Korbyn; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Herbert, Harold and Armin; infant twin sisters, Mary and Leona; and an adopted sister, Lillian.
