Lois Katherine Emma Kietzer

Lois Katherine Emma Schramm was born on August 24, 1921 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada to Rev. William and Dora (Boettcher) Schramm. On September 11, 1921 Lois was baptized and on February 17, 1935 she was confirmed by Rev. Schramm in Willow Creek. She attended school in Belvedere, MN and at St. John's Lutheran School-Willow Creek and graduated from Amboy High School. On November 5, 1942 she was united in marriage Willard Kietzer at St. John's Lutheran Church-Willow Creek. They lived and farmed in the Willow Creek area. In January of 2010, Lois moved into Hillcrest Health Care Center, Mankato. Lois was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church-Willow Creek where she was a member of Dorcas Guild. She enjoyed cross stitching, sewing, reading, gardening and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Lois died on Monday, August 9, 2010 at Hillcrest Health Care Center, Mankato, MN. Lois is survived by one daughter, Sharon (David) Herbst, Champlin, MN; three sons, Leon (Peg) Kietzer, Madison, SD, Bruce Kietzer, Mankato, MN, Myron (Cathy) Kietzer, Vernon Center, MN; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one sister, Dorthea Wentzel; two brothers, Rev. Norman Schramm (Mildred), Martin Schramm (Dawn); three sisters-in-law, Elmerna Lee, Ginger Schramm, Betty Kietzer; two brothers-in-law, Delphin Kietzer (Doris), Hartwin Keitzer (Iona) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2000; two brothers, Gerhard and Walter; two brothers-in-law, Arnold Wentzel and John Kietzer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Martin Luther High School.
