Delilah Marie Fedder was born on June 1, 1918 in rural Amboy, MN to Helmuth and Margaret (Wendt) Fedder. She attended country school near Amboy. Delilah helped at home with her siblings after her mother became ill. She also did household chores for area neighbors. On March 12, 1941, Delilah was united in marriage to Theodore Ubben. They made their home and farmed just south of Amboy. In 1977 Delilah and Theodore moved into Amboy. Theodore died on November 1, 1984. Delilah remained in her home until her death. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amboy and was active in the Ladies Guild. Delilah enjoyed baking, sewing, making quilts, embroidery and loved word search games and puzzles. She loved to host meals with her family and enjoyed their company. Delilah died on Monday, December 29, 2008 at her home in Amboy.
Delilah is survived by one daughter, Margaret Stoltzman and her husband Keith of Amboy, MN; one grandson, Matthew Stoltzman and his wife Brenda of Mapleton, MN and great grandchildren, Noah and Merrit of Mapleton; two sisters, Eleanore Anderson of Madelia, MN, Waneda Martin of Wells, MN; one brother, Helmuth Fedder, Jr., and his wife Doris of Truman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theodore; three sisters and five brothers.
