Velma Dorothy Waltman

Velma Dorothy Fosnaugh was born in Illinois on February 6, 1913 to Ed and Anny (Simerol) Fosnaugh. She married Dan Harris in 1929 in Algona, IA. Dan died in 1938. She later married Arthur Waltman. They spent their married life in Ceylon, MN. Arthur died in 1984. Velma was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ceylon and the Methodist Women's Group and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 529 in Ceylon. Velma did volunteer work in Ceylon for many different groups. Velma died on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. Velma is survived by one daughter, Rosemary Croskrey and husband Robert of Ceylon; two sons, Russell Harris and wife Naomi of Windom, MN, Harry Harris of Virginia; one grandson, Daryl Croskrey and wife Sherri of Park Rapids, MN; two great grandchildren; four great, great grandchildren and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands; three brothers; three sisters; and one daughter-in-law.
