Vangeleen Agnes Becker was born on January 21, 1930 in South Branch Township, Watonwan County, MN to Walter and Adeline (Tetzloff) Becker. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church-South Branch. Vangeleen attended parochial school at St. John's Lutheran-South Branch and graduated from Truman High School. On June 15, 1952 Vangeleen was united in marriage to Harold Wiederhoeft at St. John's Lutheran Church-South Branch. They farmed in South Branch Township until Harold's death in 1986. Vangeleen moved into Lewisville in 1989. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church-South Branch and the ladies aid, a member of the 500 Marathon Card Club in Truman and of a bridge club. Vangeleen enjoyed gardening, embroidering and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to play cards and getting together with her friends. Mrs. Wiederhoeft died on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the Madelia Community Hospital.
Vangeleen is survived by one daughter, Kathy (Bob) Taylor of Mankato, MN; three sons, Keith (Joni) Wiederhoeft of Mankato, Neil (Sue) Wiederhoeft of Truman, Larry (Cindy) Wiederhoeft of New Ulm; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Vangeleen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
