Edward Henry Hendricksen

Edward Henry Hendricksen was born on the family farm in Nashville Township, rural Truman, MN to Edward and Paulina (Buchholz) Hendricksen on September 3, 1920. Eddie was baptized on October 13, 1920 and confirmed on April 15, 1934 both at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman. He attended schools at St. Paul's Parochial School and Dist. 24, rural Truman. On March 28th, 1946, Eddie married Ruth Andross at the Congregational Church in Granada, MN. They farmed in Nashville Township. Eddie and Ruth moved to their present farm in Pleasant Mound Township, Blue Earth County in 1970. They continued farming until moving into Truman on December 15, 2007. Eddie was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman. Eddie enjoyed gardening and puzzles. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. Mr. Hendricksen died on Wednesday evening, January 30, 2008 at the Fairmont Medical Center. Eddie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth of Truman; one brother, Gilbert Hendrickson of Truman; three sisters, LuVerna Boler of Winnebago, DeLores Knuth of Sherburn, Lorraine Becker and her husband George of Fairmont; two sisters-in-law, Vivian Paulson of Fairmont, Ruth Hendricksen, Truman; one brother-in-law, Marvin Voelker, Truman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Raymond, Eldor and Rudy; one sister, Eleanor; and three infant siblings.
