Marjorie M. Tumbleson

Marjorie Mae Fox was born on January 4, 1920 in Sioux City, Iowa to John and Hallie Williams Fox. She attended school in Crow Lake, SD. Marjorie met Ernest Tumbleson before WWII and they were married in Sherburn, MN when he returned home from the war. They lived and farmed near Alpha, MN until 1967 when they purchased a farm near Trimont. In the mid 1970's, they moved to Fairmont where Ernest was placed in the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center due to complications of Parkinson's Disease. Marjorie lived close to and worked as a cook at the nursing home. Ernest died in 1985. Marjorie entered the nursing home in March of 2002. Marjorie was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont. Mrs. Tumbleson died on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. Marjorie is survived by two sons, William Tumbleson and his wife Dolores of Halstead, KS and John Tumbleson of Poteet, TX; one son-in-law, Dwayne Nielsen of Parkers Prairie, MN; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Motica of San Jose, CA, Pat Saffel and husband Tom of Pierre, SD; one brother, Jim Fox and his wife Julie of Seymour, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter Linda; one brother and one sister. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center, 610 Summit Drive, Fairmont, MN 56031.
