Francis Eugene Fisk

August 8, 1923 — March 18, 2007

Francis Eugene Fisk was born on August 8, 1923 in Amboy, MN to Charles and Clara Luella (Anderson) Fisk. His father worked for the railroad so they lived in several different communities for the first part of his life. Francis started school in St. James, MN and then they moved to Madelia where he went to school and graduated from Madelia High School in 1942. In April 1945, Francis entered the US Army in the 695th field artillery under General Patton, the 3rd Armored serving in Europe. He was discharged on December 27, 1945. On December 27, 1946 he was united in marriage to Donna Lou Biisser at the Lutheran Free Church in Madelia. Fiske worked for elevators in Madelia and Truman and later worked for Jerry's Electric and part-time for G and D Electric. Francis is survived by his wife, Donna of Truman; daughter, Sandra (Arlen) Karau, Lake Crystal, MN; grandsons, Jason (Bridget) Reinke, Nicholas (Christy) Jahnz; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Emily and Philip; and one brother, Richard (Shirley) Fisk of Mankato, MN. Francis was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Betty Jean Haugen and Helen Stordahl. Memorial contributions are preferred to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund, Truman, MN or the American Cancer Society
