Helen M. Aistrope

Helen was born in Boise Idaho, December 12, 1910. She grew up in Norfolk, Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska before meeting her future husband, Loren Aistrope. They were married on Christmas Day, 1931 and resided in Sioux City, Iowa until 1958 when Helen and Loren moved to Fairmont, Minnesota and became among the first neighborhood residents to settle along West Amber Lake Drive. Helen was an active and supportive figure in the Fairmont community for many years, and served as Fairmont Chapter President of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and President of the Fairmont History Club. She was a long time member of St. Martin's Episcopal Church and for many years she gave generously of her time as a volunteer for the Lakeview Health Care Center. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Loren and her son Doug. She is survived by one son, Allan. She was loved by many and leaves endless warm memories in the hearts of those who knew her and shared her life.
