Emmett Ray Anderson was born on October 22, 1917, in Dolliver, IA, to Nels and Ida (Luscombe) Anderson. On February 11th, 1942, he married Twila Jean Ricard in Jackson, MN. Following their marriage they farmed near Dolliver, IA. In 1944 they moved to a farm near Trimont, MN. In the fall of 1945 they moved to a farm near East Chain, MN and in 1952 they farmed south of Truman. In 1978 they moved to their present farm in Rutland Township, Martin County, MN. Emmett farmed until his retirement in 1979. After he retired he stayed very active in the farming community. He enjoyed traveling to visit his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing Keno and cribbage and was always up for a joke or a good laugh. Emmett loved his family very dearly, as they loved him very dearly. Emmett touched a lot of people's hearts. In his many travels across the country and in Mexico, someone would pop up and ask him if he was Emmett Anderson. These were generally people that had worked with him in the fields. Emmett is survived by two daughters, Linda Kay Molloy and her husband Patrick of Truman, MN and Lucinda Rae Anderson of Mazatlan, Mexico; two grandchildren, Jeanie Rae Johnson and her husband David of Upper Sandusky, OH, and Christopher Emmett Anderson and his wife Keri of Savage, MN; four great grandchildren, Andrew Emmett Johansen and Nicollette Rae Johansen, both of Upper Sandusky, OH, and Ashley Twila Anderson and Jenna Alison Anderson, both of Savage, MN; one sister, Mae Larsen of Fairmont and one brother, Leslie Anderson and his wife Christina of Dolliver, IA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Emmett was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, his loving wife Twila and his loving granddaughter Desiree Bowman Hall.
