Orie L. Davis

Orie L. Davis was born on December 7th, 1922 to Clarence and Alma (Sosinski) Davis in rural Lewisville, MN. He attended Country School District 17 in rural Lewisville. Orie began farming as a teenager. On April 9th, 1944, Orie was married to Frieda Riewe at St. John's Lutheran Church-Willow Creek. They continued to farm near Lewisville until his retirement in 1999. Frieda died in May of 2000. Orie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lewisville. Orie enjoyed fishing, hunting, ponies, gardening and card playing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Orie is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice Baker and husband Ronald of Lake Crystal, Linda Stauffer and husband Stanley; one son, Clair Davis; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Ruth Wolle of Plymouth, MN.
