Robert D. Camelin was born July 28, 1928 in Minonk, Illinois to Fred and Margaret (Loftus) Camelin. He graduated from Minonk High School and entered the Army. Bob served in the Army from 1951 to 1956. He married Lois Bents on September 26, 1951 in Fairmont. They lived in Illinois from 1956 to 1959. In 1959 they moved to Fairmont and lived there until 1965 when they moved to Truman. He worked as a mechanic for Hodgman's in Fairmont and Hinton Motor Company in Truman. Bob and Lois also operated Bob's Standard in Truman. Bob received the 50 year award from the American Legion. He was a member of the Truman American Legion Post 115.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lois, of Truman; son, Michael, of Ballinger Texas; son, Timothy, and his wife, Misti, of Rochester; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and his brother, Jack Camelin, of Scottsdale, Arizona.
