Adoph Kueker

February 28, 1929 — August 21, 2006

Adolph H. Kueker was born on February 28th, 1929, to Hugo and Martha (Niemeier) Kueker on the farm in South Branch Township, MN. He was baptized on March 17th, 1929 by Pastor W. F. Rolf He attended St. John's Lutheran School-South Branch and confirmed on May 16th, 1943 by Pastor W. F. Rolf. He served in the US Army Signal Corps in the Korean Conflict from 1953-1955 and was honorably discharged on February 28th, 1961. He was a member of the American Legion Post 561 in Lewisville. On June 1st, 1958, Adolph married Natalie Hardt at Ledyard, IA. She passed away on January 20th, 1978. Adolph married Laura Lange on October 20th, 1985, at St. John's Lutheran Church-South Branch. He farmed all of his life and retired in 2000. After retirement, he was a courier for the Town and Country Shopper and the St. James Plaindealer on Saturdays. He mowed the cemetery and school yard for St. John's Church and School at South Branch. Adolph and Laura moved in Truman on November 20th, 2005. He entered the Lutheran Retirement Home on July 14th, 2006. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church-South Branch. Adolph is survived by his wife of 20 years, Laura Kueker of Truman; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Martin and Vivian Kueker of New Lisbon, WI, Ted and Dorothy Kueker of Rochester, MN, Vern and Bonnie Kueker of Mankato, George and Marcella Kueker of Mankato; two sisters, Annette Sexe and Delores Brandt, both of Mankato; one sister-in-law, LaVonne Kueker of Mankato, MN and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Natalie; one sister, Marthy Frank and one brother Gene.
