Flohrs Donald Mausling

Flohrs Donald Mausling was born on January 29th, 1924 in Waverly Township, Martin County, MN, to Harry and Therese (Schultz) Mausling. He was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Truman, on February 24th, 1924. He was confirmed on April 2nd, 1939 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman. He attended country school in Waverly Township. Flohrs worked as a hired farmhand for about seven years in the Truman area. On April 23rd, 1950, Flohrs married June Greeley at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman. After a short time living in the Twin Cities, they returned to the Truman area where Flohrs was a mechanic for Hodgeman's, Stan Nickerson, Hinton Motors and Upton Ford. He retired from the Ford Garage in 1986. After retirement he worked for Doyle Peterson and Ervin Dorow in a small engine shop for several years. On May 28th, 2004, Flohrs entered the Lutheran Retirement Home. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Truman. He was a past recipient of the Golden Wheel Award from the Borderline Cruisers Car Club in Fairmont. Flohrs enjoyed gardening, raising sheep and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren. Flohrs is survived by his wife of 56 years, June Mausling of Truman; two sons, Lonnie of Sherburn and Lane of Waite Park, MN; five daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Dale Peterson of Blaine, MN, Vickie and David Bintz of Cold Spring, MN, Jody and Carl Newby of Bancroft, WI, Jean and Steve Holthe of Arnold, MO, Marci and Mike Barfknecht of Truman; five grandchildren, Curtis and Corey Newby, Calvin and Caci Barfknecht, and Alissa Holthe; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester and Marie Mausling of Truman, LeRoy and Doris Mausling of Pontiac, MI; two sisters and brother-in-law, Darlene and Omar Ersland of Fergus Falls, MN and Judy Mausling of Edina, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School, Truman, MN.
