Louise Marie Seller, the daughter of Paul and Augusta (Silber) Seller, was born April 11, 1904 in Fieldon Township, Watonwan County, Minnesota. She was baptized April 15, 1904 at Lewisville and confirmed April 24, 1918 at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mankato. Louise attended school in Lewisville and in 1915 she moved with her family to Mankato and continued her schooling. Louise was employed at the Candy Kitchen Restaurant in Mankato, worked as a homemaker, taking care of several elderly family members. On February 28, 1932, she was united in marriage to Eitel Silber and they made their home near Charles City, Iowa. Eitel died in 1944. Louise worked in a dress shop in Charles City. She worked as a nanny and housekeeper for a teacher in Fairmont and in later years took care of her sisters. Louise was always available to help family and often stayed with the great- nieces and nephews when their parents needed to be gone. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville. Louise enjoyed doing quilting and needlework and knitted afghans exhibiting her work at the Martin County Fair. She moved to the Lutheran Retirement Home at the age of 94 years.
Surviving Louise are nieces and nephews and their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers: Theodore, William, Oscar, Everett and Adam; and five sisters: Alma, Irene, Irma, Esther and Effie.
