Dale Walter Lenz

March 8, 1935 — July 5, 2006

Dale Walter Lenz, the son of Walter and Minnie (Stock) Lenz, was born on March 8, 1935 in Luverne, Iowa. He attended school in Fairmont and was confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church in Northrop, MN. Dale served in the National Guards for eight years. He was united in marriage to Lois Asche on July 22, 1956, in St. Cloud, MN and was looking forward to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this summer. Following their marriage they farmed near Northrop for three years and then moved to Silver Lake Township where they farmed for many years. Dale was employed by Fairmont Ag Supply, Tow Brothers Construction and NuWay. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Northrop. Dale was a member of Schwieger-Kahler American Legion Post 522 of Northrop and enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, hunting, and fishing, especially with his family. He is survived by his wife, Lois Lenz of Northrop, MN; one daughter, Wendy Jaqua and her husband, Todd of Gillette, WY; one son, Jay Lenz and his wife, Kim of Fairmont, MN; seven grandchildren: Trana, Tarah, Sheena, Josh, Brandi, Brittni, and Kelly; four great-grandchildren: Tory, Mckenzie, Mason, and Angel; one sister, Beverly Lueth and her husband, Maynard and one brother-in-law, Bryce Wahl, all of Owatonna, MN; one sister-in-law, Laura Pieper of Hanska, MN; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jean Wahl.
