Roxie Lavere Dewar

Roxie Lavere Dewar was born on November 14th, 1916 in Vienna Township, Rock County, MN to Edward A. and Evelyn (Lockard) Elliott. She graduated from Luverne High school in Luverne, MN. After school, Roxie married Sterling Dewar. She worked for the Chicago Tribune, the Lewisville Post Office and Tony Downs for 25 years. She also farmed with her husband Sterling and his parents. Roxie was a member of the Lewisville American Legion Auxiliary Unit 561. Roxie is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Menzie Ann Aikman and husband Bill of Spicewood Texas. One son and daughter-in-law, Elliott Dewar and his wife Vickie of Lewisville. One grandson, William Aikman and his wife Charlene of Austin, Texas. One brother Boyd Elliott and his wife Arleen and two nieces, of Brainerd, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
