Ruth Mary Reader

Ruth Mary Oliver was born November 9, 1919 in the rural Truman area to Earl and Ethel Oliver, along with her twin, Alice Maude. She was raised on a farm and graduated from Truman High School where she was active in music. Following high school, she went to Midway Nursing School and became a nurse. On June 9, 1946, she married William Dwayne Reader at Nashville Baptist Church in Winnebago, Minnesota, and spent the rest of her life raising and supporting her family. Mr. Reader died August 29, 1999. Mary is survived by two daughters, Jane Wellington of Sioux Falls, SD and Marcia Wetterlund (David) of Pekin, IL; son, Douglas Reader (Diane) of Eden Prairie MN; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings include brother, George Oliver (Linda) of Yakima Washington and sister, Merilyn Ames (Sid) of Apache Junction, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Evan and two sisters, Alice and Helen.
