Dorothy Marie Rust

Dorothy Marie Aspengren, the daughter of Henry and Esther (Olson) Aspengren, was born November 18, 1911 in Clarissa, Minnesota. Following her education she was united in marriage to Eldred Vernon Rust on October 30, 1943. They made their home in the Bertha, Minnesota area until the family moved to the Fairmont, Minnesota area in 1960. Dorothy was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fairmont and a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bertha. She was a member of the Ladies Aid and also volunteered for the Fairmont Hospital Auxiliary. Dorothy was a caring and God loving person and will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Eldred, family and many friends. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Eldred Rust of the Lutheran Retirement Home in Truman; two sons, Vince Rust and his wife, Sharon of Fitchburg, Wisconsin and Jerry Rust of Libby, Montana; three grandchildren, Rusty and wife, Beth, Heidi and husband, Mark and Pamela; three great-grandsons; sister-in-law, Dorothy Aspengren of Clarissa, Minnesota; niece, Jean Booen and her husband, Donald of Bertha, Minnesota; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Rudy, Vernon and Raymond. Special thanks to all the staff at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Truman and Jean, Donny, Wayne and Carol.
