Larry Gene Winch was born on July 19th, 1949 in Fairmont, MN to Earl Wayne and Dorothy Louise Mauer. He attended school in Fairmont. Larry entered the US Army in 1969 where he served as a medic. He earned the National Defense Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and a commendation for Expert M16. Larry worked at Weigh-Tronix for many years and was currently employed at Tafco in Blue Earth.
Larry is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Cory Winch and friend Amy Stoneback, Albert Lea, MN, Jeremy Winch and wife Charity, Fairmont, Brandon Winch and wife Amber, Truman; six grandchildren, Makya, Keaton, Ryleigh, Sydney, Tyonna and Trevon; three sisters, Anna Miller (Marlin), Fairmont, Darlene Wiederhoeft (Lloyd), Fairmont, Norma Kasten, Fairmont; four brothers, Ken Winch (Valerie), Fairmont, Ted Hines, Truman, Bill Winch (Margie), Mankato, Gary Winch, Fairmont; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents; one son, Larry Jr.; two grandsons, Jayden and Aiden Winch.
