Ronald Johnson

Ron Johnson was born on April 10th, 1935 in Waverly Township to Arnie and Ragnal Johnson. He attended Truman public schools. On March 2nd, 1956 he married Marline Nelson at Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville. He did construction work until 1963 when he and Marline purchased the grocery store and renamed it Ron's Super-Valu. Ron retired in 1998. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville, Commercial Club, Lewisville Fire Department, a Boy Scout Leader, a youth baseball coach in Lewisville, on various boards at Zion Lutheran Church and sang in the church choir, he was also a bank board member. Ron enjoyed playing fast pitch softball when he was younger, he also enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and keeping up with his grandson's sports. Ron is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Roseanna Johnson, Bloomington, MN; three grandsons, Nolan, Ryan and Mitchell Johnson; Mother Ragnal Johnson of Truman, MN; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Jane of North Mankato, MN., Arlen and Ruth of Waite Park, MN., and Earl and Linda of Dell Rapids SD.; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Chuck Olson of Bloomington,MN., and Barb and Dennie Hegg of Madison, SD. Brother-in-law Gene Sheppard of Trimont, MN. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his father Arne; wife Marline; one daughter Becky Jo Johnson; one sister Joyce Sheppard. One niece Jennifer Sheppard.
