Margaret Mary Tiedeken was born on September 18th, 1917 on the family farm in rural Watonwan County to Henry and Veronica (Scharbach) Tiedeken. She attended country school in Watonwan County. She lived and worked in the Lewisville area for numerous years for M. C. Bachmann's Café and for Wilton Sulflow. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lewisville and of the Lewisville Legion Auxiliary Unit 561. She enjoyed playing bingo and was an avid Minnesota Twins Fan.
Margaret is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna Tomford and special friend Melvin Tomford of Kenneth, MN, Delilah and Dennis Firchau of Lewisville, MN, Valleen and Duane Erickson of Lake Crystal, MN, Velma Albrent and special friend Dennis Frietag of Lewisville, MN; two sons, Gordon R. Karau of Chicago, ILL, Roger K. Karau and James F. Fogarty of Las Vegas, NV; three half daughters, Wanda Ruzicka of GA, Erla Mae Mangini of Lily Dale, MN, Alma Leigh Funderburk of FL; one half son, Larry Karau of GA; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred; one infant daughter; one step-son; three brothers and four sisters.
