Leona Lillian Lester

Funeral services for Leona "Lee? Lester, 77, Truman, MN, will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 10:30am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman. Interment will be at Waverly Lutheran Cemetery, rural Trimont, MN. Lee died on Tuesday evening, October 18th, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5-7:00pm at Zaharia Family Funeral and Cremation Service of Truman and one hour before the services in the church Saturday. Leona Lillian Lester was born on December 3rd, 1927 in Baltimore, MD, to Leo and Anna Marie (Maxa) Mitchell. She graduated from high school in Baltimore and attended nurses school at St. Anthony's in Louisville, KY. Lee married Dr. M. J. "Mac? Lester. They later divorced. Lee worked for the Lutheran Retirement Home in Truman. She enjoyed being a mom and a grandma. Lee was a very loving, giving, caring person who thought very little about herself. Lee is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and Clem Bielefeld, Robbinsdale, MN, and their children, Grant, Seth and Max; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Diana Lester, California and Roger and Holly Lester, Burnsville, MN and their children Cortney, Alyssa and Mitchell; one brother, Ed Mitchell, Michigan; one nephew and one niece. Lee was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Scott. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Foundation.
