Funeral services for Glenden L. Peterson, 92, Fairmont, MN, will be held on Tuesday, August 30th, 2005 at 10:30 am at the United Methodist Church, Fairmont. Burial will be at the Glenwood Cemetery, Ogden, IA. Mrs. Peterson died Saturday, August 27th, 2005 at the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center, Fairmont. Visitation will be held at the church Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 am. Arrangements are being handled by Zaharia Family Funeral and Cremation Service of Fairmont.
Glenden Leo Iseley was born on January 4th, 1913 in rural Coteau, North Dakota to Howard O. and Cressie Drumm Iseley. She had five sisters and her mother died in the flu pandemic of 1918. After high school graduation, Glenden worked as a cook on a ranch near Fargo, North Dakota. There she met and married William M. Peterson. In 1936 they began farming near Ogden, IA. In 1942 they moved to their own farm near Gowrie, IA, in Webster County. They retired in 1968 and Bill died in 1974. Glenden enjoyed gardening and traveling. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and supported many of its activities. She spent many hours crocheting doilies and table cloths.
Glenden is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Millicent and Richard Adams, Fairmont, MN; one son and daughter-in-law, William and Ann Peterson, Lebanon, IN; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
