Memorial services for June M. Ferguson, 72, Fairmont, MN, will be held on Thursday, June 9th, 2005 at 10:30 am at the United Methodist Church, Fairmont. Mrs. Ferguson died Friday, June 3rd at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN. Visitation with the family will be held for one hour before the services in the church. Arrangements are being handled by Zaharia Family Funeral and Cremation Service of Fairmont. June Marveene Koehlar was born on January 31st, 1933 in Topeka, KS to Floyd Fredrich and Ida Mae (Smith) Koehlar. June graduated from Topeka High School, Topeka, KS. She attended Washburn University in Topeka. On March 20th, 1954, June married Robert G. Ferguson in Topeka, KS. One year later, June and Robert moved to Fairmont where June was a homemaker and a Sunday school teacher at the Methodist Church in Fairmont. In the late 1960's she worked for Montgomery Ward for a couple of years. June worked for Farmer's Seed and Nursery for twenty years. June retired in 1993 from full time work and held various part time jobs including bailiff for Martin County. June was a long time member of the United Methodist Church, Fairmont, where she sang in the choir and was active in Bible study classes. She was also a member of the Fairmont Trap and Skeet Club and East Chain Sportsman's Club. June is survived by her husband, Robert of Fairmont; one daughter, Stephanie Barnett and her husband Mark of Sauk Rapids, MN; one son, Steve Ferguson and his wife Tina of St. Petersburg, FL; two grandchildren and two brothers, Art Koehlar and his wife Iris and Jack Koehlar both of Topeka, KS.
